This notice is for people in the United Kingdom who use atlasroofingandbuilding.co.uk, call us, email us, or message us on WhatsApp. It explains what personal information we use and why. UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply.

Atlas Roofing and Building is a sole trader roofing business in West London. We are the data controller for this site and for job enquiries.

What we collect
We do not run a contact form on this site. Information comes from you when you get in touch, and from the website if you accept analytics.
If you call, email or use WhatsApp we may hold your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property, photos or videos you send of the roof, and the notes of the job or quote.
If you accept analytics cookies we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to see which pages are used and whether people tap call, WhatsApp or email. That can include a truncated IP address, device and browser type, and approximate location. We do not use it to identify you by name.
We do not sell mailing lists. We do not run accounts or logins on this site.
Why we use it, and the legal basis
Quotes and jobs. To answer you, visit the property, price the work and do the job. The basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and then the contract if you go ahead.
Running the business. Records of work, invoices and any complaint or insurance query. The basis is legitimate interests and, where we must keep records, a legal obligation (for example tax).
Website analytics. Only if you Accept cookies. The basis is consent. You can Reject or change your mind at any time. GA4 does not load until you Accept.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We only share what is needed:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website
- Google, for GA4, and only if you have accepted analytics cookies
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you message us there. Their own privacy terms then also apply
- Our phone and email providers, to carry the call or message
- Anyone the law requires (for example HMRC or the police)
Some of those companies may store data outside the UK. Where that happens, they should use a lawful transfer tool such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and job records are kept for as long as needed to finish the work, deal with any follow-up, and meet tax and insurance needs, then deleted or archived.
Analytics data is only collected if you have accepted cookies. You can reject later. Your choice is stored in your browser so we do not ask on every visit.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- see the information we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it, where we do not have to keep it
- restrict or object to certain use
- receive a copy in a portable form, where that applies
- withdraw consent for analytics cookies

Children
This site is for people arranging roof work. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
